How to Measure Yourself
Before checking any size chart, take accurate measurements using a soft measuring tape. Wear light clothing or underwear only and keep the tape snug but not pressed tightly against your skin.
Bust / Chest — Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Waist — Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, slightly above the belly button and below the rib cage.
Hips — Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping both legs together and the tape as horizontal as possible.
Seat / Hip (Lederhosen) — Measure around the fullest section of your seat, keeping the tape horizontal.
Thigh (Lederhosen) — Measure around the fullest part of a single thigh.
Inseam — Measure from the crotch downward to the knee (for short lederhosen) or to the ankle (for bundhosen).

Tips for the Right Lederhosen Fit:
- Always measure your waist where you naturally wear your trousers, slightly above the hip bone
- If you are between sizes, go one size up — leather does not stretch like fabric
- Lederhosen will feel snug at first and loosen with wear
- Measure your seat around the fullest part of your hips for an accurate fit

General Sizing Tips
- If you are between two sizes in any category, always size up
- Leather garments like lederhosen will loosen with wear — a snug fit at first is normal
- Dirndl bodices are designed to be fitted at the bust — this is intentional and traditional
- When wearing lederhosen shoes with wool Loferl socks, consider going half a size up
- The dirndl apron bow tied on the left means single, on the right means married — a charming Bavarian tradition
